The contingent of specialists is more than 100 people, including citizens of the CIS countries, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Europe (Islamic Republic of Iran, Republic of Moldova, Republic of Gambia, Syrian Arab Republic, Lebanese Republic, Hungary, Turkmenistan, Republic of Guinea, Republic of India, Algerian People's Democratic Republic, Republic of Iraq, Republic of Cyprus).

Students of the postgraduate course of the Academy annually take part in competitions and conferences of various levels and take prizes, making presentations on the most pressing problems in the field of veterinary medicine, animal science and biotechnology. Together with their scientific supervisors, they participate in the implementation of RFBR grants, as well as in the fulfillment of state tasks commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The Academy has established 5 dissertation councils, which accept dissertations for the degree of candidate and Doctor of Sciences in 8 scientific specialties:
