FACULTY OF VETERINARY MEDICINE
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is a dynamically developing department of the Academy, which occupies a special place in the training of highly qualified specialists in veterinary medicine for enterprises of agro-industrial complex and processing industry, the state veterinary service, zoos and other facilities for keeping animals and agricultural production, for veterinary laboratories, Rosselkhoznadzor authorities, companies producing veterinary drugs, feed, equipment and tools for animal husbandry and medicine. We have more than 1500 students from various regions of the Russian Federation, near and far abroad.
The goal of the faculty is to strengthen the position of the Academy as a leading center for veterinary education in the Russian Federation, expand its contribution to the agro-industrial complex and develop the country through the training of competitive personnel based on unique pedagogical methods and modern material and technical equipment.
The faculty unites departments that carry out the successful implementation of educational programs in the specialty 36.05.01 Veterinary Science (specialty level) and the areas of training 36.03.01 Veterinary and sanitary examination (bachelor's level) and 36.04.01 Veterinary and sanitary examination (master's level).
The faculty is represented by 10 departments, as well as the Anatomical Museum, the Museum of Parasitology named after K.I. Skryabin, museums of pathological anatomy, pharmacology.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is taught by 115 highly qualified teachers, 2 of whom are academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 30 doctors of science, professors, 75 candidates of science, associate professors.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine actively carries out career guidance work. Open Days, lectures, excursions, meetings with schoolchildren, college students and their parents, training events for applicants and job fairs for senior students are held annually.
Students, graduate students and faculty members are participants in All-Russian and international conferences, congresses, winners of scientific work competitions at various levels, and grants. The faculty successfully conducts on-site seminars at leading foreign universities, Centers for Veterinary Medicine and Food Hygiene.
